Our story
Welcome to Charleston Elite Musicians - home of the premier symphonic musicians of Charleston - and we are available for your event! We have 20+ years of experience playing beautiful weddings and events in and around the Lowcountry and have detailed experience with nearly every venue in Charleston.
Whether you’re looking for strings, brass, woodwinds, piano, guitar, timpani (the list goes on…) let our highly talented symphonic musicians and expertise help you have an effortless and worry-free experience - from the initial consultation all the way to the final note - Charleston Elite will be your musical expert and contact throughout the entire journey.

We are not a booking agency - we are musicians! Elite is owned and managed by Sadie Rose Nichols, who plays viola with the Charleston Symphony. Ms. Nichols has been planning the music for and playing weddings in Charleston since 2001.
Our various groups play all styles including Classical, Traditional, Spiritual, Pop, Folk, Jazz, Ragtime, TV/Movie Soundtracks, Disney Songbook, Showtunes, Iconic Love Songs, Opera, Tangos, and one-of-a-kind Americana Appalachian Ballads.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Sadie Rose Nichols, and I have had the exceptional privilege of playing music in the Charleston area for over 20 years. I grew up in a musical family,with my mother being a bluegrass fiddler & banjo player, my father a tenor, my sister & brother on strings. After receiving a Bachelor’s in Music Performance from Indiana University and a Master’s in the same from the University of Maryland, I began a position with the Charleston Symphony as Assistant Principal Viola in 2001. I quickly thereafter have been planning and playing weddings in and around the Lowcountry. Playing for beautiful and elegant weddings and events over the years alongside my talented symphony colleagues has been a highlight of mine for two decades.
Charleston Elite Ensembles is born of this gratitude and passion. I wish to bring the utmost ease, elegance, sophistication, joy, refinement and talent to your special event. On a personal note, I am a newlywed myself having married 3 years ago in downtown Charleston and have fresh knowledge of what it is like to plan the ceremony/reception music and to want to have it be perfect.
I’ve played with some very talented colleagues from Carnegie hall to concert halls around Europe, and it is the musicians of the Lowcountry that I find the most exceptional. From the moment I set foot in Charleston in 2001 I n became utterly charmed. This is my favorite place & has quickly become the top destination for weddings in the country.
